Step 2: Field mapping for entity Products
Field mapping is a crucial step in the import process that ensures your data is correctly aligned with the corresponding fields in your store. This guide will walk you through configuring the Field Mapping step for products in BulkFlow.
After preparing your file in the Prepare File step, click Next Step to proceed to Field Mapping. Here, you’ll map the columns from your uploaded file to the fields in your store.
Store Fields: Predefined fields in your store (e.g., SKU, Title, Price).
File Fields: Columns from your uploaded file that need to be mapped to Store Fields.
Preview: Displays sample data from your file for verification.
Identifier Field: A unique field (default: SKU) used to identify products.
You must map the following fields for successful import:
SKU
Title
Price
Quantity
Bulkflow will attempt to auto-map fields if the column names in your file match the Store Fields.
For example: A column named "Title" in your file will automatically map to the "Title" Store Field.
If auto-mapping fails or is incomplete:
Locate the Store Field you want to map (e.g., "Price").
Click the dropdown under File Fields and select the corresponding column from your file.
Repeat for all required fields.
Select the location where inventory will be updated (e.g., "ABC Warehouse").
This ensures stock quantities are assigned correctly.
Enable Auto Publish to automatically publish new products to selected sales channels.
Choose specific channels or select All to publish everywhere.
Assign tags to new products (e.g., "New-0001") for easy categorization.
Tags help organize and filter products in your store.
Use the Preview section to:
Check if data aligns correctly (e.g., the "Price" column shows numeric values).
Navigate through sample rows using the arrow icons.
Once all fields are mapped:
Click Next Step to start importing data.
A confirmation dialog will appear—click Continue to proceed.
Error: " You have to map all selected fields.*" - Ensure all mandatory fields are mapped.
Error: "Invalid file format.*" - Verify your file matches the supported formats (CSV, XLSX, XML).
