How to use the Blog Posts template

What is the Blog Posts Template?

The Blog Posts Template is a spreadsheet that allows you to import or update blog posts on your Shopify store via BulkFlow. This template supports fields like blog title, author, content, handle, visibility, and more — all in bulk format to save you time and effort.


Requirements

Make sure you have:

  • Downloaded the correct Blog Posts Template from BulkFlow
  • Blog content prepared in Excel or CSV format
  • Your Shopify store connected to BulkFlow


How to fill the Blog Posts Template

Step 1: Download the Customer template

From the BulkFlow Dashboard, click on Download Template. A dropdown menu will appear — choose the option labeled Blog Posts Template.


Step 2: Fill in the required fields

You must include at least:

  • A blog Title and Handle
  • A blog ID if you're updating an existing blog post

NOTE: If you're creating new blog posts, leave the ID field blank. If you're updating existing posts, include their Shopify ID.

Short summary of the post in HTML format

HTML/Text (e.g., <p>Quick tips...</p>)

Body HTML

Full content of the blog post in HTML format

HTML/Text (e.g., <h1>Welcome</h1>)

Blog ID

ID of the blog category in Shopify

Numeric (e.g., 456789123)

Blog Title

Name of the blog category (e.g., "News", "Blog")

Text (e.g., News)

Published

Whether the blog post is published

TRUE / FALSE (e.g., TRUE)

Published At

Date and time to publish the post

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS UTC (e.g., 2024-02-07 15:30:00)

Created At

Date the post was created

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS UTC (e.g., 2024-02-05 10:00:00)

Updated At

Date the post was last modified

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS UTC (e.g., 2024-02-06 13:45:00)


Step 3: Save the file correctly

Save your filled template before uploading to BulkFlow.

Frequently asked Questions 

1. What happens if I leave the ID field blank?

BulkFlow will treat the row as a new blog post and create it accordingly.

2. Can I use both Blog ID and Blog Title?

Yes. If Blog ID is unknown, the Blog Title will be used to link or create the blog group.

3. What format should I use for Body HTML?

Use valid HTML code, including paragraphs, headings, and images if needed.
