# Google Sheets Format for File Imports

To ensure successful integration with BulkFlow, it is essential that your file follows the correct format when using a **public Google Sheets URL**.
# Required Format
Make sure your file is hosted on **Google Sheets** with proper sharing settings and accessible via a valid link. A correct example URL should look like:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/{spreadsheet_id}

If you attempt to import a file uploaded as .xlsx (Excel), BulkFlow will not be able to retrieve the data via this link. In this case, you have three options:

1. **Convert your file to Google Sheets:**
* Open your Excel file in Google Drive.
* Save it as a new Google Sheet.
* Copy the URL of the new Google Sheet and proceed with the next steps.
2. **Copy your data to a new Google Sheet**:
* Create a new Google Sheet.
* Copy and paste your data into it.
* Make sure the sharing setting is "Anyone with the link can view".
* Copy and paste the link into BulkFlow’s import field.
3. **Use your original file with a URL connection**:
* Return to the previous step.
* Select "Connection Type: URL".
* The system will successfully retrieve and read your file.
# Important Notes
* You do **not** need to change your file type permanently.
* Simply ensure the link you use is from a valid Google Sheets document and **not** an uploaded Excel file.
* Always verify that the sharing settings allow BulkFlow to access the content.

Following these steps will ensure your file is accepted during import and prevent unnecessary upload errors.
