Accessing Field Mapping

After preparing your file in the Prepare File step, click Next Step to proceed to Field Mapping. Here, you’ll map the columns from your uploaded file to the fields in your store.

Understanding the Interface

Key Components

Store Fields: Predefined fields in your store (e.g., SKU, Title, Price).
File Fields: Columns from your uploaded file that need to be mapped to Store Fields.
Preview: Displays sample data from your file for verification.
Identifier Field: A unique field (default: SKU) used to identify products.

Mapping Fields

Automatic Mapping

Bulkflow will attempt to auto-map fields if the column names in your file match the Store Fields.

Locate the Store Field you want to map (e.g., "Price").
Click the dropdown under File Fields and select the corresponding column from your file.

How to Prepare Your File

1. Ensure the Correct File Format

Use CSV, Excel, or XML format.
Avoid special characters in the file name.

2. Structure Your Data Properly

The first row should contain column headers (e.g., Product Name, Price, SKU).
If your headers are not in the first row, configure the header row number in Bulkflow.
Each row represents one record (e.g., one product or one order).
Ensure that data is clean and formatted correctly (e.g., no blank rows).

3. Match Column Names with Bulkflow Fields

Use consistent column names that match Bulkflow’s default field names to enable automatic mapping.
Example: Instead of Item Name, use Product Name if that’s the expected field.

If your file URL requires authentication, Bulkflow supports Basic Authentication (Username & Password)

Bulkflow will automatically detect your file format and display the relevant file settings fields.
Adjust your file settings to ensure Bulkflow correctly interprets your data.
If your file contains headers, ensure the first row has column names.
If needed, set the header row number in Bulkflow.

Click Test Connection to verify that Bulkflow can access the file.
